SAMSUNG WILDLIFE WATCH

Poaching in Africa skyrocketed during Covid-19, there were far fewer tourists to keep an eye on wildlife. To help fight poaching, we used the power of Samsung phone technology to launch Wildlife Watch. A customised live streaming experience where anyone worldwide could be a virtual wildlife ranger.

We partnered with African tech start-up Africam and the first all-female Anti-Poaching Unit The Black Mambas to live-stream up-cycled Samsung Galaxy phones planted across the African plains, creating a 24/7 worldwide wildlife watch surveillance system, while protecting the animals and raising awareness of poaching. Animal activist and Berlin based DJ, Peggy Gou inspired everyone to take the watch.

Results: 200K+ Worldwide Virtual Rangers in 195 countries, over 140,000 hours protecting wildlife, 0 animals poached, 1.9 Billion Impressions
